Graham,

My name is Rob and I am the nephew of a late Catherine Griffiths - who worked with you at M/Cr. 'Hanging Ditch' Post office some time ago.

Catherine, (who maybe covered for you once or twice when you were forging a couple of hits) - was my favourite Aunt!

She mentioned to me then your early practise days at the post Office and even sung to me some of your hits when I was tiny (Bus stop?)

Thanks to you (and the Hollies), I shall never forget Cath and the very special days I had with her when small.

Cath G. sadly passed away some time ago.

Your records (esp. with the Hollies) will always remain with us.

Thank you for the happiness your music has brought Graham,

Regards, Rob Clements

My husband and I were one of the few hundred that saw you perform at the Paradise. Our first date was there 21 years ago. You were a wondeful reason to return for a belated anniversary present and early birthday. You heard the crowd; you know how we enjoyed it. So many missed such an opportunity.Songs For Beginners songs still bring tears to my eyes...especially listening to you sing them only yards away. 60 and still as melodic as ever. (ok, I'm almost 50!)Bless you for a long awaited, (since the Hollies, the csny days)celebratory evening.

Dear Graham I am a Belgian music journalist who works for French monthly mag JUKE BOX MAGAZINE . I also write sleeve notes for some CD issues - including the recent French BIG BEAT HALEY CD " VIVE LA ROCK ' N ' ROLL" - Paris Olympia 1958 - that got critical acclaim . I already wrote 2 times about Haley ( and Comets ) before - including in February 1981 for a Belgian TV weekly . I am obviously thrilled by your getting involved in the projected rockumentary about him. ( Better late than never ! ) I really hope that Rob Nagy ' s work - with your help - will start giving him back the recognition that he so much deserves . I even wonder if the lack of it did not contribute to his end which was so bad and desperate ... I ' ll be happy to see the COMETS once again in Paris ( Saint - Maurice near Paris ) on Nov . 16 . Well what I ' m getting at : there is some incredible 1958 Belgian footage of him that I had a chance to view this year . Quite simply MIND - BLOWING including a full 1958 live TV show - cut in Brussels American Theater in the evening of an afternoon performance at Brussels PALAIS DES BEAUX ARTS . ( Of which I have a good xerox copy of the original program) . The Belgian footage - also some left from his second coming here 1972 - has NEVER BEEN UNEARTHED . Also I must tell you that a French singing star named EDDY MITCHELL - who hired BIG JIM SULLIVAN - REG GUEST - other UK musicians including PAGE in the 60 ' s - and later famous US R ' n ' B and then country musos ( CHARLIE MAC COY etc - he even brought the JORDANAIRES with him to Paris Olympia in 1975 ) - so that guy MITCHELL is a lifelong HALEY fan - mentioning him in one of his famous songs - even stating " LONG BEFORE ELVIS " ( in French that is ) and thanking him in his autobiography . I also once heard GERARD DEPARDIEU mention Haley with fondness in a TV interview . So these are only a couple of facts and anecdotes . I hope that either you or Rob NAGY will agree to contact me as I ' m obviously willing to help . Just in case here is my postal address : ARAUCARIA AVENUE 10 1020 BRUSSELS BELGIUM

I HOPE TO READ YOU REAL SOON ! THANKS IN ADVANCE - AND I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK CHRISTIAN NAUWELAERS

i really want to go see csn&y at the Pepsi center in denver,co. so i went to go purchase tickets at ticketmaster.com. do you realize that there is almost $20 in service fees for a ticket? ticketmaster charges $12, then there is some $3.75 service fee, then there is a $4 building fee. the cheap seats go for $40 which would make the service charges %50 of the ticket price!!!!???? what the hell is wrong with this picture??? i wanted better seats, $86, but the actual money out of pocket would be $105. i'm having difficulty deciding between the chance of a lifetime to see the concert or refusing to pay someone to sell me a ticket on principle. i am sending this letter to clearchannel, ticketmaster, and will try to get it to crosby, stills, nash, and young. in good conscience i cannot pay you to attend this concert. i think this act is a disgrace to the artist's and a disservice to the music. you will have to do some major convicing if you want me to believe that you need $20 in service fees to sell a ticket.

thanks, dan

DEAR, GRAHAM My name is Jim Glazier, from 4308 42 AVE. #20 Rock MTN.. House Alberta, Canada . And I need the help of someone with great influence over people and the resources to convince people they can protect there property. I am not trying to get a hand out, but perhaps some kind of business venture where we both can make money. I have been interested in vehicle security since 1997. I get sick when I hear of peoples property stolen , damaged , and even lives lost from such a preventable problem as car theft. I have looked at many vehicle security devices and there weakness, and endeavored to build a device that is easy to install and also user friendly, and very difficult to remove. I have built prototypes, and have used one on my vehicle for three years even in big cities, and always felt comfortable that my car would always be there where I parked it. I also installed one on an old truck in an auto wreaker and it took three big men 4min. 56 seconds to remove it, only by braking the floorboard because of too ridged a base. This has since been redesigned to be flexible. It was encouraging to see one person could not remove it. It is loose enough installed, that it cannot be cut with a hacksaw, since it is made with good strong steel. The lock cannot be frozen because it is incased with steel and a small air space. These men ! tried with hammers and feet to remove it and only exhausted themselves. Since joy rides and theft of vehicles for the purpose of committing a crime are the main reasons for general auto theft, I know this will be a very good and secure type of vehicle theft deterrent. I have a U.S. patent and applied for an international patent with the help of a company in Ireland, who have done up for me a confidential research report, on North America, and Europe and are at this time trying to find manufactures all around the world that would be interested in building this device that I call "Brake Lock. There is some simple electronics that serve as a trade mark, as well as takes care of the brake light problem. I recently have had interest from England and Illinois and hope to get a positive response from them. Auto theft is a huge problem everywhere. I know it will make a difference. But it will only make a difference if people will use it. If I could give you more information that might convince you, perhaps you may be interested in being a part of this venture. .P lease, if you want more information or have questions please get in touch with me at my E-Mail address ( cadillacjim @msn.com) Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you . Dear,Graham Nash!

Let me call you so and the reason is that first I heard you in far,far 1966 -s,when your disk "Would You Believe? " appeared.I was shocked.I opened something new for me,something unknown at that time it was unlike the other music, music which being unlike the other, impressed me,by it sinkere kindness. And when I saw your photo, can't forget it till nowadays.Every time, having got your next disk with great difficulty,as the prices were and remain today too high(but usually it takes a lot of time before we can listen to your next disk) I immersed in your music world and imagined as if,I were together with you.Unforgettable time! You had everything on your way:success and disappointment, but the time proved that your are "the qiants of music"!I am glad with to every you success still many, many years.I always wanted to know about your as much .I'm interested in both: your life and work. Will you, please help me,if it's possible to know more about you not only as a musitian but as a person. We can understand music though the musitians thoughts and soul even if we don't understand the words in English.I would like to speak with you about everything. But it's a pity it's not possible to write everything in a letter.A letter is the only means communication with you ... The only hope to meet you and and to speak with group it' your concert. But in fortunately it's very difficult.Heardly I when nor be able arrive in England single hope if you will arrive in Russia,we without fall a meet.Dreams... Dear,Graham Nash! I'm very sorry, but I have a request for you. Will you please send me your photo with your original autographs or just an answer on my letter. For me it would like... a present equal "the flight to the moon"! Oh,GOD!But it's just a dream,I even can't hope for it.There are no miracles in reality!? Having finishing my letter let me wish you everything a person can wish to his friends:a successful work and a lot of happiness in your life, and also to continue gladden your admirers with your songs.Thank the time thas has presented us such a wonderful musician and man .I want you to be happy and always young! We love and always will be with you.

Ever' your Igor.

P.S.Excuse me,please my English.

Hey Graham,

What's going on? Didn't get to see any of the latest CSN&Y shows, but I caught you with David and Stephen about seven years ago, when you played The Mark of the Quad Cities in Moline, Ill. Great show, too!

One thing I was just idly curious about: Any plans for a future Hollies' reunion? I first heard that music from a pair of my dad's old LPs (Bus Stop and Evolution), and I went from there, even on to the Terry Sylvester period (Remember him?)

Anyway, it would be nice to see you, Allan, Tony, Bernie and Bobby back in business, even if it's just a one-off sort of project -- an album or tour.

Best wishes, Terry Duckett

Dear Graham,

For the past month I have been trying to make contact with you via e-mail and Internet and truly hope that this will be successful, as time is becoming short. I met you in the very early sixties and we were at a party after one of your shows in Manchester, England. I was from South Africa and had received a pearl ring for a birthday present from a friend in S A. Your then ladyfriend, Rose, admired it so much and you requested that I kindly give it to her, and promised, one day, when you were famous, you would replace same with a diamond. Little did you know what the future held for you at the time and nor did I. I am now 56 years old and have been divorced since 1979. I lost a son of 24, six years ago when he committed suicide and now my baby son of 27 has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia. He has undergone major chemotherapy and will now have to have a stemcell transplant and my request is whether, after all these years, you could fulfil your promise, but not with a diamond ring, but with a small donation to help me with his and my expenses during this time. I have always looked on it as a great honour that I had given this ring to Rose and over the years never ever thought of approaching you in regard to this subject, but now Pray that you may find it in yourself to assist me. Hope that you will soon be in full recovery from your accident. Please request one of your staff to answer my e-mail at junew@freemail.absa.co.za and my mobile is 082 396 8834. THIS IS EXTREMELY URGENT.

Kind regards June Watson

Dear David, Stephen & Graham,

I am a veteran of the 1969 Woodstock Music & Arts festival. At the concert I obtained a Woodstock program, which I have cherished for the last 31 years. About 15 years ago I embarked on a mission to have as many artists to autograph the program as possible and have amassed quite a number since then. I obtained David Crosby’s autograph about 10 years ago at a Stowe, VT CSN concert. Graham and Stephen were not available at this time. My question is this: Is there any way possible to obtain a couple of backstage passes for myself and my wife for the August 21st show at the Fleet Pavilion show to obtain these signatures? I assure you these signatures are not for profit but to pass down the original Woodstock program as a piece of history to my children. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter; any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

David Maxwell Mountain Base Rd. Goffstown, NH 03045 603-497-8404

Will you please help C.A.I.R. pass Assembly Bill 448 to legalize Industrial Hemp in California?

Last month, the California State Legislature introduced Assembly Bill 448 to allow for the production of Industrial Hemp in California for commercial purposes.

Converting to Industrial Hemp can save our forests from logging, our mountains from mining, our oceans from oil-drilling, our soil from eroding, and our air and water from being polluted.

The most versatile and environmentally-friendly renewable resource in the world, Industrial Hemp can produce completely clean energy fuel and is cheaper than petroleum or natural gas. It can also yield four times as much paper per acre as trees and building materials that are twice as strong as wood. And de-hulled hempseed is the most nutritious source of protein on the planet.

C.A.I.R., the Campaign for Agricultural and Industrial Renewal, is the organizational sponsor organization of AB448. CAIR has been working to legalize Industrial Hemp in California for the past four years. In 1998, CAIR sponsored a ballot initiative to legalize Industrial Hemp. In 1999, CAIR succeeded in getting the California State Assembly to adopt a resolution supporting Industrial Hemp. In 2000, CAIR got the California Democratic Party to add wording in its platform that supports the legalization of Industrial Hemp. More information is available at http://www.CAIR.net.

Please help CAIR support AB448 to legalize Industrial Hemp in California by e-mailing CAIR.Sam@att.net or by calling CAIR at (909) 653-3500. Thank you very much.

Hi, Graham, just wanted to say hello from a lifelong CSNY/Byrds fan. Both of these bands have had a huge influence on my desire to play music, and as a guitar player, I enjoy playing music by both groups. When are you guys coming to Orlando? Feel free to reply at your convenience. Thanks for being part of CSNY and you guys are the absolute best band ever. The teens here in Orlando can have the Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync; I'll take CSNY hands down. Keep up the good work, and feel free to e-mail me at your convenience. Thanks again, Graham. Respectfully yours, James Llorca, Altamonte Springs, FL (12stringguitars@usa.com)

Graham...My wife Susan and I met you at the Hyatt in Indianapolis, In. back in the mid 80's after a concert at Market Square arena as you were coming off the elevator on the top floor. How we got rooms up there we will never know, but she still goes on about that chance meeting even to this day. We still love your music as do my children and look forward to your next piece of work. My wife will celebrate her 48th birthday March 9th, and if you read this, if possible you can make her day something special. Send a birthday hello to email: slaue@indian.vinu.edu. Take care. Jim

Dear Mr. Graham

Subject: The GREATEST AUDIO ROOM of the WORLD

We are proud to communicate that in Italy has been built the GREATEST AUDIO ROOM ever made in the WORLD with the BIGGEST Horn SubWoofer ever built in the world. This can be visualized at http://www.royaldevice.com/custom.htm

Roberto Delle Curti, 46 years old, expert in the major electronic fields as industrial electronics, computers, designer of the major telecommunication network in Italy, and since 20 years involved in audio & video and electro-acustic in general and worked also with Ing. Paolo Pininfarina (designers of Ferrari's coach cars)

In 2 years of design and projects he has realized the GREATEST AUDIO ROOM ever made in the WORLD.

The AUDIO ROOM has the great feature OF REPRODUCING at LIVE LEVELS ANY TYPE OF MUSIC with NO DISTORSION and with LIVE REALITY.

To reach this unbelievable task all the components have been CUSTOM MADE with NO COMPROMISE. No comparison can be made to any COMMERCIAL or PROFESSIONAL components stack together to make a stereophonic system, but only to LIVE PLAY.

The auditor is really in front of a stage or full immerged into a classical concert. Here it is where you really deeply feel the singer in front of you, where all the musicians are perfectly set at their place and instruments can really be understood for what they are. People as musicians, singers, and various producers that went for audition say it is better than to be at "LA SCALA" in MILAN. The AUDIO ROOM is also set for AUDIO/VIDEO (home-theater) application. No CINEMA HALL in this case can bet the Audio reproduction system here implemented.

All technical details can be found on the WEB.

If You are interested to have this AUDIO ROOM at your home I can build it for you. If you are not I would be pleased if you could inform anyone that can be interested in. For any information you can directly contact:

Roberto Delle Curti, Aliante president at:

Aliante s.r.l. Viale dell’industria 19 Busto Arsizio 21052 VARESE - ITALY Tel. +39 0331 354070 (office) Fax. +39 0331 342445 (office) Tel. +39 0331 343648 (home) e-mail: aliante@royaldevice.com

Aliante s.r.l. is a company distributing also speakers with pininfarina design. pininfarina is a world wide registered trade mark and a designer of Ferrari's coach car.

Mr.Nash, You and your music have been an inspiration to me for as long as I can remember. I learned to harmonize by listening to you and David. I've been singing for audiences since I was five. I'm now a musical theater student but I'm hating it. I want to sing! I don't really get to at school. The college life has been nothing but frustrating and painful. All my life I basically assumed that I would be a singer by now, I thought that I would have been discovered, but far from it. I miss singing. I can't help but cry everytime I realize that I probaly will have to give up the only dream I've ever had. Do you have any advice for a frustrated singer? If you ever need a back up singer, I would be estatic to do it for free. I need to sing. Thankyou~singerlgrl@aol.com

Hello Graham, David, Stephen, & Neil, My name is Terry and my e-mail is mtmbcd@erols.com. I live outside of Washington, D.C. and I am a great CSNY fan, I flew to Chicago to see you all after being blown away by your show on April 6th here in D.C. I also saw you in 1974 when you toured here. My now husband and I were sitting several sections away from each other at that show and didn't know it then. We often talk about how cool it is that we shared that incredible experience so many years before we knew the other existed.

I have been longing for quite some time to try to make personal contact with any of you. I would say especially David or Stephen or Graham or Neil because I love you all individually as well as together. I've read all your books and been on all the websites, have all the albums and videos, and have seen you in various combos live, but never the real thing. Not just your music, but individually as regular people, especially as family men ( I am married with four children) and especially now that you've reached the ages you are and STILL HAVE IT. I'm 41 and that gives me hope to keep going every day. Your music inspires me to the point that I listen to some of my collection almost every day. Today, LOOKING FORWARD sounded new and reduced me to tears again.

Anyway, I know I'm rambling on... I now have been blessed with oppurtunity to be in the same space as CSNY again. This time at Neil Young and group's FARM AID in Manassas, Virginia. I waited for hours and got 6th row tickets. I am absolutely crazed and obsessed with the idea of trying to get to meet you back stage or whereever. I know that I am just a one in a million fan, but is there any hope for a regular fan like me or am I just pipe dreaming?

Is there anything that you could (or would ?) do for me? I know you don't know me at all, but truly in your hearts you know me as a sister to the core. PLEASE HELP me if you can. At least, please drop me a line of response.

Peace & Love, Terry

Dear Graham Nash,

Judy Chapman, an old rock ‘n roll fan (was at Woodstock) and friend has a terminal brain tumor and will be traveling all the way from her home in Missoula, Montana to see the Crosby Stills Nash and Young concert in Portland, OR on February 2 at the Rose Garden Arena. This group has always been one of her all time favorites and as this will probably be her last rock concert we were hoping that we could make this a special occasion for her as a surprise.

If there is any possibility that she could meet someone in the group for a moment or perhaps go backstage for a brief tour or (going to the way outta sight wish list) have her name mentioned onstage during the concert, this would mean the world to a very very wonderful lady.

Having spent over thirty years ourselves in the stage performance business, we realize that protecting the privacy of performance artists is always a challenge. And yet it has been our experience that on occasion requests such as ours for our friend Judy are sometimes granted. We hope that this might be one such special occasion. We can be contacted by e-mail at: glennthreeg@rocketmail.com or by phone at: 406 543-7746.

Warmest Regards,

Glenn Gauer and Suzie Hunt

Graham; Hello from Salida, Co. I understand that you will be in Denver in Feb, I would like to tell you about myself, my name is Charlene Finney and I am the director of the Myra Gainer Gift of Music Foundation, are primary focus is to provide band instruments to the schools in Colorado, we also offer the program called the Sound Check Program, what that is is to take high school students to the pre-concert allowing students to learn about the technical aspects of putting on a concert, staying for the concert isn't required but It would be nice, The group Journey has joined with us in this project and we took 4 students to there concert last year. If you would like to do this, you can contact me or have your manager contact me. I myself am a dedicated fan. We hope you will take part in this and give the Gift of Music to our stduents.

my email is precidisc@aol.com
